Verity paused outside of George's workshop, holding the parchment in her hand. She hadn't knocked yet. She was gathering the courage for that. They hadn't talked since Saturday in the cemetery and so much had happened since then...she didn't know quite how to approach him. She hated this feeling, not being able to burst in on George and just talk. Things were different now...she loathed that the much.
Finally, she took a deep breath and knocked, listening for a moment. She heard nothing but silence and after a moment, she figured he was gone and turned to leave. But then the door opened behind her and she turned to see George in the doorway, looking tired despite his smile.
"George," she said, relieved. "I have some samples for applications if you want to go over them?"
