Ron was finally sitting down for the first time since he came into the shoppe. Business was really booming and he and Verity had been running around like mad. It seemed to Ron that everyone was rushing in to get their supplies before Hogwarts was back in session.

Ron pulled his Defence Against the Dark Arts book from his knapsack and the notes that Hermione had sent him. He needed to get a head start if he wanted to do well on his NEWTs. Ron shook his head and chuckled to himself. Who would have thought that he would actually be revising before school even began?

Ron flipped open the book and groaned when he saw George's letter He need to respond to that and to send Percy a birthday gift but had totally forgotten.

Ron sighed as he pulled out a piece of parchment and scribbled a note to George. He had picked up a present for Percy but he'd neglected to send it off with Pig. He'd just been so busy lately with studying and working that the little things were slipping his mind. He briefly wondered if Hermione had the right idea by creating color-coded schedules.

Ron began reading his book, adding notes to the ones Hermione had sent, and he let himself get lost in the material. It was funny that so much of what he was reading he, Hermione, and Harry had already lived and for once he was feeling good about exams.

Ron put his quill down and paused for a moment while the ink dried on the parchment in front of him. He let his mind wander briefly to the fact that he and Harry were going to be flat mates and he realized that he was going to have to tell his Mum eventually.

On one hand Ron felt bad about leaving the Burrow but he'd gotten use to being on his own. He couldn't imagine what his mother's reaction would be and frankly he feared another Howler.

Harry and Ginny were going to be babysitting for Teddy soon and Ron wondered how Andromeda convinced his Mum that it was a good idea leaving them alone for the weekend.

Ron briefly wished that he and Hermione could have a few moments alone-well maybe more than a few moments but it seemed that things were always so rushed. He had to confess that the fact they would eventually take the biggest step forward in their relationship had set him slightly on edge. He'd read that the first time was usually painful for women and the last thing he wanted to do was hurt Hermione. Plus he really wanted to give her a bit of pleasure too-it wasn't just about him.

Ron wondered briefly which of his brothers would be able to help him out. He wanted things to progress naturally with Hermione but he realized that his inexperience might hinder the progression of their relationship.

He couldn't really ask George, Ginny was out of the question, Harry would make faces, and his Dad was all about plugs and outlets. Maybe he should send an owl to Charlie and Bill-ask them to meet him for drinks and ask questions.

Ron quickly wrote a note to the both of them and vowed to send it off as soon as he got home.
