Ron was glad Bill and Fleur had decided to stay late at the Burrow. Ron needed to talk to Bill in the worst way about school and quite frankly since asking Hermione out on a proper date he'd suddenly gotten very nervous.
Bill was talking quietly with their Dad in the living room and Ron cleared his throat as he stood on the stairs. He'd never really gone to his brother's for advice and Charlie had been most unhelpful. Bill though, Bill was married, he'd been around the world, and Ron trusted Bill would understand and not take the mickey out of him.
"Hi ya, Bill," Ron said and ran his hand through his hair. "Have you got a minute? I wondered if I could show you something down by the pond."
Ron caught his dad's eyes and smiled slightly. He felt slightly sick with nerves and he suddenly wished he had a firewhiskey to calm his stomach.
