I have a big set of "good" bone china dishes that I picked up at a yard sale in a farmer's field (so a field sale?) for $15 years and years ago. I use them very infrequently for special occasions, but that's about it. I don't even have silverware.

I answered this question for my parents, not me, since I'm too poor to have holiday dishes!

My mom has a set of Christmas dishes and plates that she would (I don't think she does it now that we're not at home) use from about December 1st until New Years. Nothing fancy- they have a Christmas tree in the middle. There's only about 8 of them, and 8 smaller plates, and some glasses. We'd used the regular china to supplement it. It was really nice- kind of a reminder that Christmas was coming.

It says something about me that I had read three-quarters of the way through this quiz before I realized that by "dishes," you did not mean "recipes."

I don't have full sets of dishes, but I have bowls and plates and mugs and spoon holders and salt and pepper shakers and hot pad holders and towels and such. So I do sort of transform my kitchen around holiday time. However, the bowls for the most part are just for display and the plates are used to bring in cookies and stuff to work.

I don't have dishes but I do rotate the (fake) flowers in my nice crystal vase throughout the year to reflect the season.
