[005] [voice] the boy is a computer

[If one were to enter Artemis' apartment, they would come upon a very strange sight: a lemur sleeping next to a glowing blue cube. From the cube, a red laser-like beam is scanning around the room, and finally locks onto the journal kept in its place on the desk. Thank Frond, because Jay-Jay wasn't responding to any commands to move him to the ( Read more... )

I've seen a talking treasure chest, odd as that may sound.

At this point, ma'am, I am far beyond odd.

...Ah, it's sir, not ma'am.

[Aaaaawkward.]

I'm not sure I understand the pattern behind this particular experiment.

Ah... pardon me sir. [IT HAD BREASTS IT WAS A FAIR CALL.]

Well, I am a supercomputer and you are a woman. So thus far I am unaware of a pattern as well.

My roommate is a meatbun now, though sufficiently animated for one.

Best keep them away from the other meatbuns. And how animated? Are they able to move?

He's been eating other meatbuns. [No one would eat that.]

He has a face, and it able to move. He can even fly-- [Oh that voice.]

Artemis, is that you?

...eating other meatbuns. How strangely cannibalistic.

[He can fly? How completely unfair! Not that he's attempted it yet...]

Hm? Yes, this is Artemis. Who is this?

Someone turned into a fighter jet. He's still animate, though, if flying himself counts.

A fighter jet, hm? Has he been able to break the barrier?

i_speak_softly January 25 2011, 21:18:30 UTC
The sound barrier, maybe. 768 miles per hour.

Yes I know the point at which the sound barrier is broken. [Snippy little computer voice, isn't he?] I'm asking if he managed to break the wall keeping us inside Luceti or if he is simply flying around the area.

[A black Shetland pony thoughtfully responds.]

No, I have merely transformed into a pony of unknown breed.

[Consulting his databanks produces:]

I believe you're a smaller draft horse. Perhaps Shetland. Of all things to be, though, a Shetland pony is rather agreeable.

I am not aware of what a Shetland breed is, but I concur; I am quite pleased to have such a warm coat, given the intolerable coolness of the weather.

It's a... well, it's a smaller draft animal. Very strong, very intelligent. Usually used as pack animals or to pull smaller carriages. I'd be wary of children, though. Most children are rather enamored of ponies.

...do you much care for ponies?
