The Triathlon was fun. It was grueling and a good test of whether or not you're really in shape or not. Swim 500m (which is more than you think it is, especially in the open waters of lake superior), Bike 15k over mostly paved back roads and downtown stretches, and Run 5k along the lake shore. Most people can run or bike. Not many can swim well.

(Last time I tried making plans to run a 5K with a friend in October (in the Keewenaw area) was about 5 years ago... and about a week after I started running to get in condition to do so, said friend broke their collarbone in a mountain biking incident. I would not wish a similar fate on you!)
