Dear 1961 Version of West Side StoryI should not be laughing this hard. And while part of the blame must fall on Jennifer and her MST3K abilities, most of it falls on you, dear film. How am I supposed to keep a straight face when a gang of manly gang type men suddenly all bust out with some soft shoe dance moves on a basketball court

Haha... I'm glad I'm not the only one who cracked up when tough gang members all started dancing in unison doing ballet-like leaps and singing.

I've decided that the Sharks are the manlier gang. Not by much, mind you, but at least a majority of them managed to get girlfriends. And they tend towards jazz and latin type dances. The Jets have a disturbing tendency to favor ballet and dances that involve them leaping into each other's arms.

That being said, "In America" is one of the best numbers in that entire show.
