Well, that's probably for the best anyway. She can't say she would be happy to see the woman stuck here. For some reason she's been thinking about it. Probably because of the ( Read more... )

I always thought that dreams were one of those...untrustable things. [ except for when you had to trust them -- omen dreams. ]

They do seem that way, but you shouldn't think of it like that. A dream is just your subconscious mind trying to forewarn you of something. When your subconscious is trying to signal your conscious, I think one should try and listen. Not that every dream can be easily understood or even remembered for that matter, once you wake up.

I tend to remember them. Is that weird?

No, a lot of people remember dreams. If they're significant enough they normally stick with you easier than dreaming about getting coffee or something.

Hey, I have a job to do. This place isn't going to make me stop working and I'm sure someone might be willing to take my help.

I'm sure they would. I hope some do.

...do you dream about anything, Paprika?

No, not really. It's a side-effect of overuse. The subconscious is so busy melding into other people's subconscious that it has no way to interact where it should. So, I don't dream because my subconscious is busy being somewhere else.

What do you mean by dream therapy?

[He doesn't need this anyway. Not with the medicine and Minato and the girls around. He can talk to Minato, he knows it. He can tell him anything... But what if Minato isn't there at some point, he doesn't even know if he could cope with Minato being kidnapped, not now. But this... What could this do? Hinamizawa syndrome isn't just a mental disorder... But still it may help, right? Or maybe not.]

I mean that I analyze your dreams and try to find what it means. Certain dreams are certain signals that your subconscious mind is trying to hint at your conscious mind.

What about the dreams that are mostly memories?

That means the subconscious is trying to make you focus on that specific memory for some reason. It could also be the result of not having something resolved in your past.

I'm guessing that's a codename, right? Fine with me.

There use to be one other woman who was a therapist, but she left Luceti some time ago. I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but for now it might be so.

No, I understand. I would hate to leave knowing I was the only one in the village who could provide these kinds of services.

... dream therapy?

Correct. It means I help you sort out problems you have in your subconscious mind more so than your conscious mind.

Well, I can do it two ways. First is going into your dream and second is not. I try to only go into dreams if you have a problem with the dreams you're having themselves. If they seem too disoriented or keep reoccurring over and over. I'm also a trained psychologist, so I can give therapy outside of dreams. I'm just more efficient at the first way more than the second.
