[Good evening Luceti. Are you all doing well? Lets hope you're getting some good rest and shut eye because it's usually a long day in the craziest village ever

[It's dark out here in the desert. Derek is crouched between two palo verde trees, half hidden in the brush around him, and eyeballing the trail of blood that leads further down into the wash. It ends at a man-sized mound of dirt, and as the last of the sunset fades from the sky, the dirt is starting to push, like something is pushing out from beneath.
[Derek kneels next to the still twitching vampire, drawing out another stake and a hammer from inside his jacket. He carefully places the tip of it on the vampire's forehead. With one solid strike, that too is driven into the creature's skull, pinning it to the ground.]
...You don't seem too shocked. You've met vampires before?
It's nothing really. I'm just a psychiatrist. [Okay, the alter ego of a psychiatrist but whatever. She does all the work, Atsuko just sleeps.] Doesn't really compare to killing vampires. Albeit it's a little barbaric.
I can only imagine, from what I've seen in horror flicks. [She begins following him.] Yeah, I have heard some interesting things. Nothing I can tell you about though.
[She ignores his warning and follows behind him slowly. She wants to make sure he's at least safe in his own dream. Plus maybe he can give her answers if he's from 'Luceti' as Blue called it.
[The trail soon leads to a church courtyard. Derek pauses at the wooden doors, and then pushes them open.
Beyond the door, around the fountain, across the flag stones, even strewn in the tree limbs, are the remains of the order that used to reside here. Few of the bodies are intact.
Judging from the wash of scarlet everywhere, it's doubtful there's much blood left in any of them, either.
Derek hisses as he spies a hunched, quietly growling form at the other end of the open space. Hidden in shadows, the only easily seen detail of this person are the eerily glowing blue eyes.]
He clutches the sword in his hand, waiting.]

[She stretches a little, trying to ignore the sound of a stake being hammered into someone's skull]
No, not vampires. I've just seen stranger. [like cackling dolls as big as skyscrapers]

...must have an interesting job, then.

[Derek inspects the area around the now opened 'grave', studying the trail of blood, looking off into the dense underbrush where it leads.]
Bet you hear some interesting stuff.
[He starts to follow the trail.]

[As they walk, the trail of blood gets thicker and starts to get littered with chunks of things that glitter in the moonlight.]

[She notices the thickening trail and does her best not to focus on it too much. Blood in dreams is just so wrong for some reason.]

[He stops for a moment, studying the ground again. It's becoming obvious what the 'chunks' are.]
...Might not want to follow. Won't be pretty.
Reply
...But this is a dream. So it will be okay.]
I'll go with you. You might need backup again.

[He starts to follow the trail once again, but makes no attempt to keep her from following. He seems weary as he walks, though. Worn.]

And she likes fight scenes.]
