ugh... I'm so rusty, but here's something...
Prompt: Dawn
FicType: hahaa... I'm going with rambling too!! XD
Word Count: 376
When Renji was little, he remembered waking up each day in the one-room decrepit shack he’d shared with fifteen other children (all orphans like him)-- to thank someone. Some deity, some stupid chipped and stained statue they’d had (stolen) sitting in a secluded corner, in the dirt; thank that eyeless god for giving him another day to live.
Another day to hunger. Another day to steal.
He always got up early (he’d always been an early riser), right before the dawn, when the sun hadn’t yet cleared the mountains far in the distance. He’d slowly walk out back, cold bare feet shuffling in the sand, to the outhouse, and watch as the sky brightened-- peach colored-going-pink, breaking upon blue, right before the sun rose clear.
And for those fleeting moments, as Renji stared and searched the sky, he could believe-- that there was something waiting ( ... )

And of course the next prompt is porn, hee, i see this "He wraps his essence around Byakuya and slowly wakes him in the soft pale light" and all i can think about is Renji climbing atop Byakuya to ride him wide awake *happy sigh*
