Awwwwwwww...this sounds interesting...more than interesting...I'm willing to read more of it!
I'm liking the idea and the conversation and I'm very curious about your Catherine

first, let me get the fan-girling out of the way..... *squeeee!!!* reluctantmaster!Gil and slave!Nick, this is gonna be so hot!!!! Can't wait for more!!!

ok, now that's done, I really like the way you've opened this story with the conversation between Al and Gil. IMO, Al doesn't get anywhere near enough "screen time" in either canon or fiction. Gil's reaction to the knowledge that he has become the owner of a slave fits him really well.
Plus, this just made me giggle...In a lot of other ways, he often reminded Al of his fourteen year old son. It wasn’t fair to say that Gil ever seemed spoiled, but he certainly was accustomed to having things his own way. Usually that was all well and good. But it just meant that extra patience, and a good strong will, was required when he was digging his heels in.

I adore Al. And I'll use any excuse to get him into a story.

I also love the idea of Gil getting sadled with a slave he didn't want. Throws him all off-balance. And he's so fun when he's off-balance.

I'd read the telephone book if I knew you wrote it. Just sayin'.

The one thing that I went "hmm.. wonder if" about was maybe alerting the reader that Al does indeed know Gil well enough to know his tells and know he's pissed.

I liked how you moved from Gil reminding Al of his fourteen year old son to his son that's a junior to the Council (which I am now insanely curious about) and its gift. That was nicely done. Is Catherine going to be romantically linked to Gil? Because that's okay, you know, until you get Gil in bed with Nicky. (Wonder what class poor Nicky is.)

Ah.. master!Gil and slave!Nicky. My favorite thing to see in the morning. Did you release this before? I swear I remember the start of it.

Thanks for the comments. You're right, that IS unclear. Consider it fixed.

Ah, the Council. Good to know you're curious. Means I'm planting just enough info in the story.

As for Catherine, well, that's certainly a good theory. That's all I'm saying.

I released a teaser from this scene, so that's probably what you remember. Glad to know you're on board with this. Should be a fun ride.

Oh, baby. I am a happy, happy fangirl now. knightmusic is writing slave!Nicky/Master!Gil. EeeEEeee!

Please tell us you have it all done and you're just posting it in parts? Because that would make me even happier.

You give great Al, BTW. Is he eating his lunch in the morgue? Tickles me.

I can't *wait* to see Gil's face when he sees his slave the first time.

I really hope that wording was deliberate. Cuz it's awesome.

Sorry to tell you that I don't have this all done, but I do at least have it all sketched out (something I insist on before fics ever see the light of LJ). So I at least know where I'm going.

Right now I think this is working beautifully. I love AU's in general cause I like seeing how the worlds are different so that drew me in, let alone cause your writing it, but this is wonderful. I can't wait to see more :)

well thank you very much! I like AUs for the same reason; it's neat to stretch my legs a little bit and create something a little more original.
