But, a moment later, after another sigh and a shift of his eyes her way, A.J. added, "Unless you want to take this stupid rabbit back to Adah for me."

Stupid rabbit just didn't sound great at all; there was a story behind it she was sure. She was also pretty sure A.J. wouldn't want to tell it.

He wondered if the reason he could say it so much easier to River was because River had done that, too. He cleared his throat a little, quickly adding, 'I don't know. I honestly don't. The girl is just insane, that's the end of it, and thank God, I'll never have to ever deal with her again if I can help it."
