Man, homecoming? Was exhausting, which was why A.J. was just a sprawled lump of nothing on his bed, staring idly at the ceiling with an arm and a leg draped over his bed. Beauty had tried combating the bounciness of her own mind by reading, then by working on her Latin translations, and finally with attempting another set of letters home. None of it did any good, because her attention flitted from one place to another so fast that once she realized she'd just written half a page of rambling nonsense addressed to her sisters, she crumpled the paper and threw it into the wastebasket with a sigh ( ... )

A.J. thought about getting up to answer the door. Thought about even sitting up. But...nope. Too comfy. He did lift a hand, though, but it flopped back onto his stomach and he laughed a little. Days like this were meant to just be that lazy. "It's open!" he called out, under the assumption that whoever it was was capable of opening a door. "Come on in."

Well, it did sound like A.J.'s voice, so Beauty pushed the door open and peeked inside. And smiled with relief at seeing him sprawled out on the bed.

"I think the only thing that could disturb me right now would be a big giant boulder, whoooom," there was an arm motion there, up toward the ceiling then down to his stomach, "coming through the ceiling and crushing me." He grinned. "You're good, Beauty."

And, look, he was even sitting up now, shifting back to sit with his back against the wall, leaving plenty of room for her to come veg with him if she wanted.
