#8 - texture overpowers the image, interesting crop though.
#7 - icon is oversharpened, contrast strikes me as too high on the woman.
#14 - I can not tell what the image is. This may be as the image lacks definition which could be bought about by playing with brightness & contrast. Texture also seems out of place.
#13 - The text seems distorted, in order to draw focus more to the su ject of the icon a lighter font would've been really effective.

#12 - it looks more like a texture than an icon. it's too grainy and would look better without the text.
#13 - the scratch texture doesn't add anything to the icon, and the brush with the text is awkwardly placed with the image.
#18 - there is too much going on in this icon. the repetition is a bit much, and the overlapping/blending of all the images doesn't work.
#22 - the animation is confusing and hurts my eyes, it's too quick. it would have looked fine as a regular icon. it's also a bit too grainy.

#19 - the simpleness of the crop balances nicely with the texture, and good contrast.

#8 - the use of what looks like a wallpaper-type texture between her face and hair is very distracting since it shouldn't be there.
#14 - the image is too dark and the surrounding texture doesn't compliment the image at all.
#17 - text placement is uninspired and the font choice doesn't really work well with the text itself.
#22 - the image is too grainy and flashing along with the vibration just makes the icon annoying rather than interesting.

18 - While the idea itself of using the same image over and over is good, the execution is not good. The images are not sharpened enough, and it feels as if the image is dull.
17 - The icon is too gray, the text is faded and difficult to read, and the overall effect is not good. If there were a better contrast, I would like it more.
23 - I like the placement of the people at the bottom of the image, but the gray surrounding them is plain. It needs more - some texture, some text, something.
8 - The crop is good, the lack of contrast is not good. There is too much gray, and so the image looks faded. I think I can see a texture in it, but it doesn't help the faded effect.

01 - A bit over-contrasted - her arm and chest are too bright and underarm and hair too dark.
14 - The image is WAY too dark - it's hard to tell who it is. The background doesn't seem to fit with the image at all and the cutout (fadeout? IDK) appears hastily done.
22 - The background is extremely dark and the image itself doesn't retain the same level of contrast during the animation (and I'm not sure if that's supposed to be intentional). The tiny text is more distracting than helpful.
23 - The background is just a touch too dark and the subjects are way too sharp.
