I had the Tony Awards. It was my Super Bowl. My Olympics. My night to plop in front of our TV and lose myself in a world of marquees and songs and dances and Bernadette Peters and Gregory Hines and all my favs and watch and dream.

I've been fortunate enough to have been on fairly regular trips to Broadway for most of my life, and this still captures perfectly what I love about the Tonys.

Too bad I'm going to be on a plane and otherwise in transit this year.

Anyone know where I can find a video after the fact?

I'd try Hulu the day after or one of the sharing communities on LJ. 99% of the time they have an awards show up the next day.

Oh, HULU. I didn't even think of that. Do they have CBS stuff? There are only clips of "How I Met Your Mother" available...

I did check in a sharing community that I frequent but hadn't gotten any responses, and it's making me antsy.

Aww, I love him. And I love the first email...I've lived near New York all my life (and now I live in the city) and my family loves theater so I went to see shows all the time throughout my childhood but the Tonys were still so incredibly exciting to me because it was the one night I got to see all my favorite people on TV and it felt like it was so special, even in my living room.

That said the prospect of the Tonys this year is really not very exciting...I've seen a lot of things this season but it's just...boring idk.

Also, idk why but "Hunter...," you ask, like the Mistress in Evita, "So what happens now?" made me lol irl.
