Anything Goes is one of my favorite shows ever, but I think the 1962 off-Broadway revival is my favorite version. SORRY, PATTI. I wonder which version they'll base this one off of, though, since the three are so different. If any of them, actually.

And Sutton will make a fab Reno.

Sutton really does nothing for me (either way...don't hate her, don't love her either). Plus as someone on BWW so eloquently said, she has the sex appeal of a wet noodle.

I adore Anything Goes though...let's just hope that Roundabout doesn't fuck this one up.

I don't really follow Sutton Foster, so someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but I thought she's pretty on the record, quoted in interviews and such, as saying she doesn't want to do revivals, that she only wants to originate roles? Or am I just making that up?

She said, as recently as when she was doing Shrek, that she had no desire to do revivals. She only wanted to work on original material. Maybe she's changed her mind, or maybe she just wants to work with Roundabout. Or maybe she's just pleased to have a job. Haha.
