Today, trying to balance self destructive tendencies with revision, which means while I am still overdosing on mountie slayer, I am getting work done.

What is a crannog? Clearly it is a strange Irish thing. Rather like shadowkitty on reflection.

crannogs are artificial islands. we have them in scotland too. and the welsh have them also. i can provide boring details if wished.

They're a round artificial island with a wooden fence round the edge & small huts in the middle. Iron age-ish. My uncle took me to one when I was little. I was the only person who could fit through the doors.

Yes! WHY WHY WHY is it doing that??? It's driving me batty! Is it a new "feature"!?!? It wouldn't be so bad, if you could click the source button and have your html actually be properly interpreted. ARghghghgh! My crack_van recs are all nicely formatted with html. I just have to plug in the text and now, it takes forever to fix up all the mistakes thrown in by the evol lj editor!! *cries*

See the old html interface interpreted line breaks, when you go into source in the rich text editor (which I used when I started lj-ing a couple of times, so it's not new exactly) and put it into source, it doesn't insert your [br] tags for you. The answer's either to use [p] or lots of [br] tags in your copies and then put them into source.

It was such a bitch when I did the whole index thing last night.

Yes, that's one of the problems I've been having. Very frustrating! Anyway, I just found where you can specify which editor to use.
