How much do we all love Katherine Heigl?

Sooo... old news, but it's all been brought back up again (at the Golden Globes the other night) since Isaiah Washington (who plays Burke, on Grey's Anatomy) doesn't know when to shut his mouth... back in October when he was having a fight with Patrick Dempsey (McDreamy), Washington, for some reason, called T.R. Knight (George) a faggot. According ( Read more... )

Here's a YouTube of T.R. Knight on Ellen - I find it interesting how Ellen kind of siezes up when he first starts trying to thank her for basically paving the way for gay people today, but at the end of the show when they're hugging during the applause, she seems to be much more relaxed. I think the producers or the network must put a little pressure on her to de-gay herself - or maybe she puts the pressure on herself after her experiences when she came out - and I wouldn't blame her for that. But I wish it could be otherwise, even if I understand where she's coming from. Of course - I could be totally wrong.

But check this out - a little YouTube of the comment made at the Globes; Katherine Heigl's piece; and then Isaiah Washington completely denying the whole incident.

I have to say - I don't believe Isaiah Washington. I don't believe that T.R. Knight, or anyone really, would accuse someone else of saying something like that, if it wasn't true. Why would you? And why would Katherine Heigl come out in such strong support of T.R. if it didn't happen? And why didn't Shonda What's-her-name (the producer you saw speaking at the Globes) deny it? She tried damned hard to avoid talking about it, but she didn't flat out deny it. It's all stacked up against Isaiah Washington, and personally, even though saying it in the first place really annoyed me, I've really lost all respect for him (not that I ever really thought about him before this, but all potential respect, anyway), for not just being open and saying - "Hey, I said this, I made a mistake, and I'm sorry." Why would you not just say that? Geez.

Here's the clip.
