isn't he the best? i have been to various book signings for him and the shops/galleries are always packed.
same thing at comic-con in san diego. no matter how large the room, when he is there to speak it is full to standing room only.
as i read your post i had to smile. i had this very conversation with a friend of mine yesterday about her artwork. she is starting to be discovered by the mainstream, but is not necessarily taking every commercial venture coming her way. she would prefer to select a few where she won't be compromising her work, because it is her love.
