Some things should stay dead...

If your franchise involves the dead rising from their graves, it behooves you to make a decent picture. Otherwise, the subject matter gives critics a lot of ammo when your movie sucks. Just checked out Rotten Tomatoes assessment of THE MUMMY: CURSE OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR

but i love the mummy franchise, brendan frasier (he's dreamy), and jet li!

I liked the first one, thought the second was a train wreck, and the Scorpion King was a bit of a mess.

I'm sure I'll see 3 anyway. It is Jet Li, and I still kind of dig Brendan Fraiser (in that "he really should have had a bigger career" sense). No Rachel Weisz, though. Just poor Maria Bello who - although gorgeous and talented - should shoot her agent for getting her this as her first franchise. I understand she felt like she needed one, but still...
