[Prefect hears that disturbing message of doom, and looks over his shoulder with an expression of clear disapproval, before registering exactly who is sharing it with the world. Recognizing the vampiress from the Barge, he stops to stare at her. Mainly to make sure that she's not coming near him.]
[Kirk looks pleased to see Prefect, probably more pleased then he ever has but he's also into the territory of tipsy already and combined with the excitement of getting off the Barge, he'd be glad to see anyone.
He claps his former Inmate on the shoulder and grins at him easily.]
"Why do you look so irritated? Look where we are? Isn't it great?"
[Prefect turns his head when he hears Kirk's voice, but fails to act quickly enough to avoid the hand clap. Still, he manages a grimace as Kirk makes first contact, pulling his shoulder away before softening his expression.]
It's... not so bad, brother. Just a bit less developed than I'm accustomed too..
[Prefect suggests, eying the mass of people milling around them, but at the suggestion of alcohol his disapproval seems to fade. He gives Kirk a slightly disapproving look.]
You know, you're going to get in a lot of trouble when we're back on ship.

[Which Kirk knows from first hand experience. Getting off the Barge isn't the only reason that there's a bounce to his step.]
