I worked from 8-4 today and I was hoping to be productive when I got home. Instead I've been procrastinating writing an illustrative essay for English. Two copies of my rough draft are due Saturday and I'm supposed to be going to a concert tomorrow night with Alana. I have not written one word because I have absolutely no idea what to write about.

The thing about all these 'sucesses' is that they lead -hollow- lives. To go straight from education and into a successful job bypasses so much experience it hurts your life. A mini example of this would be my school. Everyone has lived in the middle class, suburban nightmare and they all hope to go to university and then to work, none of them have any experience outside the bland magnolia lives they have led, and none of them ever will. I have never met a more boring bunch of people in my life. I may have had an awful time before I came here, but it certainly made me a (slightly) interesting person, and I wouldnt give it up for the world. You may not have gone straight to college, but you certainly have a lot more than he will ever have. Plus you KNOW his wife will have an affair and leave him at 35 because hes boring and
