Closed Action for with_an_accent [Wandering down Beulah Street // Noon]

[...Well, this was unexpected. Or was it completely expected? He had been told how this town liked to play mind games with people, but this letter... Was it legit? Not that it mattered, because there was NO WAY he'd ever kill anyone. Even if it seemed like they were trying to tempt him with ( Read more... )

You're pretty dumb, aren't you?

[Asks a little girl who was probably following you from the bushes.]

[OH GOD A NINJA. O-or not. It's just Yukari. At least, he thinks it is? Yeah, this might actually be too much for his brain to handle right now.]

Well, I'm feeling a little dumb now, sure. I can't find who I'm looking for and... I swear you had black hair last time we met?

I still do.

[Her regains are gone, for reference those are just good for her expression and stance.]

So who are you looking for?

[Well, he could try saying her name.... or describing her... or anything like that, but they all proved to be useless. Stupid town.]

I guess I really can't say. This town's gone to some pretty crazy lengths to keep us from saving anyone.

[Elsa doesn't know what this stupidity is, but she doesn't like it. A manhunt? Not on her watch.

Time to go be a hero. Even without her advanced abilities--the Bloodstone locket is gone and she can feel the dullness of her own senses--she has no intentions of standing idly by while people start killing each other off. She plans to incapacitate those who are going to follow the directions of the town.

Starting with her assigned target, a certain Bridge Carson. When she catches up to him, he seems slightly desperate for something but not especially murderous. Still, appearances can be deceiving, so she approaches.]

And where are you off to?

[And just when he was about ready to continue on his mostly pointless journey, that voice catches his attention. So of course, he turns to face her... with probably the dumbest smile and response ever.]

Ah, I'm trying to find... er, well... apparently I can't say her name still? I mean, it's not really that hard to say, I don't think. It's just every time I try to? My voice suddenly cuts out. Makes it a lot harder to find her, if nothing else.

[That kind of smile is not unfamiliar to her. However, that doesn't mean it doesn't put her off. She scowls, crossing her arms.]

I take it you mean your target from the Mayfield Census Bureau?

[There's an icy edge to her voice. The unspoken question is, of course, what he intends to do what he finds her.]

[...Okay, obviously Bridge was going to have to be very careful with this one. She looked like she was already in a pretty foul mood. Then again, given the circumstances. That derpy smile gives way to a frown, his voice sounding a bit more sad.]

So that means you got one too. Or, you've at least heard of it. Great. So this whole town is involved. That's why I have to get to her before it's too late. I don't know who she is, but, she doesn't deserve to die like this. Nobody does. They may have selected me, but I'm sure once they realize I refuse to kill anyone, they'll send somebody else after her.
