it's the same as why i type in all lower case. laziness. but it seems like they are yelling, and i seem like i am whispering.

IMO, it's because they're suffering from a sense of being really, really self-important but think nobody listens to them so if they yell above everyone else, they'll seem more... I don't know, in charge or something.

I think it falls under a couple of categories - either they want to be VERY VERY IMPORTANT or perhaps they THINK THEY ARE SENDING A TELEGRAM THROUGH THE INTERNETS, STOP. Or more likely, MY HUSBAND PRESSED CAPS LOCK ON THE KEYBOARD ONCE AND I AM EITHER UNAWARE OF THE DIFFERENCE OR TOO SCARED TO CHANGE IT. I am kind of alarmed by how many moms I have emailed/gotten emails from in school dealings that don't have their own email address, and just use the husband's. Like, lady, sack up and get a Gmail account! Be free!
