*squeeees delightedly* Oh, oh, oh so very good. I haven't read a whole lot of Firefly fic I could absolutely fall into, but I'm so going to rec this. Not only Firefly, but you NAILED Dresden-voice as well. Arguably, you wrote it even better than Butcher does... : )

Butcher's fun... but the big problem I have with his stuff is that it often feels like hurried, sloppy, slapdash writing to me. Yours -- despite being written in four hours! -- is by comparison extremely tight, coherent, and evocative, while still holding true to the distinctive Dresden "voice".

Whoa. At first glance I wouldn't have thought Dresden Files and Firefly would cross over so well, but this was excellent.
