As you all might have noticed, I have been rather busy or secluded these days. I assure all of you it was part of a thought process on how to make things a little more beautifulThe best way to raise morale is to get together and create an elegant and graceful atmosphere, and as our ship is rather plain at the moment, I have made a solid resolve to ( Read more... )

Is that strictly necessary?

You are aware that Serenity is primarily a smuggling vessel and not a pleasure cruiser, are you not?

I am perfectly aware of that, Marluxia.

Beauty helps raise morale and high morale increases the rate for productivity.

Though, I suppose some of the crew members simply do not know what beauty is.

I'm not entirely sure that the crew of a smuggling ship are usually the sort of people who find their morale raised by pretty things.

Hm? So you perceive beauty as merely pretty things?

[This is where you can hear his tone get slightly smug]

Well, I suppose if that's how you see beauty, there is no stopping you! But you should be aware that there is more than materialist items when it comes to the delicate art of achieving true beauty!

...Oh... great. Just what we need.

Yeah. Between you and Miss Fussy-britches, the whole damn ship is going to look like something out of a romance novel.

Then I suppose, if you are so qucik to judge, this means you've volunteered yourself!

What a beautiful thing for you to do!

So, would this beautifyin' happen to involve sweeping all those damned flowers off the ship?

And any mess left over from Lunasa, yes~.

That sounds reasonable enough. Go ahead and get started - I'll take care of any stragglers.

Would it be horrible if I requested to have the boatswain, Bang, and fellow quartermaster Marluxia to be assigned to a team as well?

I see no reason why those higher up should miss such a beautful opportunity to connect with the rest of the crew. In the end that just lowers morale and increases a chance for mutiny, don't you agree?

While I generally approve of all things graceful and elegant, I fear I may be busy whenever it is that this... 'beautifying' happens to occur.

Very important ship-flying duties to attend to, you see.

I understand, of course.

I'm sure I can find other ways in which to assist...

Just, ways which involve much less... cleaning.
