I'm flying from Boston's Logan International to Heathrow International, then catching a connecting flight to Manchester (UK, obviously).... but I am so not sleeping for like, two days, not even kidding. More like 2:30 A.M. And it's hard that first day, but you're out like a light come nighttime. I did the same thing, leaving Atlanta at 5 and getting in at 7. Customs is a bitch, especially since you're not an E.U. resident, and especially at the early-morning rush at Heathrow. I hate Heathrow. Gatwick all the way. NEVER Stansted. And never fly Ryan Air. If you're thinking about going to Europe (which you are, since you have that enormous break), check out the "tiny flight" on BMI. Cheap, except for the taxes, which are always like $50 no matter what airline you fly.
