Why yes, I am made of awesome.

Modesty, not so much. But my paper has been accepted (finally) and is slotted for publication. It only took this long, but thankfully I'm happy not to hear that it's not unique enough for publication (or that it's gone out for review again).

So fwee! I'm going to be a real fake-doctor!

science, science geek, fin-a-frikkin-ly, penny loves me moar

There may, or may not, have been a fistpump.

How's science treating you lately?

Haha, I feel like I get a daily supplement of *awesome* by dint of my friends. Like a vitamin C tablet, only it's by internet ;)

By the way...

The other half is magnificent.
And there's just a dash of stunning.

Verily, I need to keep this. For those days where you feel like poo. Because there's nothing wrong with being more than 100%!

GO YOU!

Is it bad that I didn't feel "ecstatic" when my paper was accepted? Does that mean I'm a fake scientist? D:

Well, quite honestly, it was more like the tag "fin-a-frikkin-ly" was how I felt.

And we're all fake-scientists according to my mom. Because only MDs are useful. >.>

She said that once, that I won't be a "real" doctor. And while I can, on some hands, agree with the sentiment that I am unable to prescribe medication or therapy, I wouldn't say I was a "fake" doctor either.
