So, the Doctor Who Series 4 premiere inspired me to go out and find lots of icons and I can now say that I have an icon for each version of the Doctor. Woo! Anyway, I thought I'd share my new icons with y'all so that you recognize me when I pop around.

School is going well -- there are two classes where I know I'm getting A's, two others where I'm pretty sure I'm getting B's, and one class where the teacher has failed to mention that letter grades exist (he just says that we get 'credit' for everything we turn in). Classes are going well, thinking about classes is eating up all my time (partly because when choosing between writing my own entries and reading y'all's, I will choose reading), but I did manage to watch and enjoy last Friday's shows (Numb3rs, Stargate: Atlantis, and Psych) plus the Sarah Connor Chronicles (conclusion: good and quite intriguing).

Second day of a brand-new year (for people following the Gregorian calendar). Tomorrow, I'm going to my student orientation for the Art Institute. Very exciting.

We celebrated half of Christmas on Sunday, with my dad (and his wife G and her family) plus my brother and his girlfriend C. Today, I'm going over to do Christmas with my mom's side of my family (plus my brother and C).

As previously mentioned, I got around to watching the two most recent Harry Potter films and then felt a deep urge to immerse myself in Harry/Draco fic (of which is there a whole freaking lot, I tell you). Doctor Who: I'm so glad that the_spdn and oh_she_knows exist. The amount of hatred in a lot of DW fandom for Rosefen is so overwhelming spiteful and bitter that it's nice to have places to go where there isn't any nastiness (I've always managed to avoid the most poisonous of fandom wars before -- I joined Stargate fandom after the Daniel-Sam wars were pretty much over ( Read more... )

For the most part, yesterday was actually quite boring. I went to work, was there for about ten hours, and then I went home.

Once I got home, several very sweet people here told me 'happy birthday'.

I'm not a big Thanksgiving person. Mostly, this is probably because I'm a much bigger "it's (almost) my birthday" person and my birthday is on the 26th (this year, it's four days after Thanksgiving).
