I haven't watched any of s6, but I could comment on s5 stuff, however apparently all I want to comment on is this.
It's true that the s5 finale was less angsty at least but anyone who accuses of RTD of going overboard in his finales and doesn't see that that one at least was obviously meant to one up Rusty at his own game (on the hugeness, not the angst, Moff couldn't compete with Rusty on genuine human emotion if he tried) must have been watching a different show.
Anyway, I may have to watch at least that scene of this week's episode since it would probably come in handy for vidding...
Ha, beats me whether or not it's true! It's what I've heard said. I actually really enjoy angst when it's well-done, so I always really loved the RTD finales.
Huh. I haven't really kept up with Moffat's Who, so I haven't seen a huge amount of Eleven. He kind of bores me, actually. Which is odd considering the above statement because I ADORE Sherlock. I'm thinking it probably comes down to the actor.
The actor can frequently make a difference in these things. I have seen neither of them, so I can neither confirm nor deny if I personally would think they're alike.
Yes, those are fantastic episodes that can stand on their own.
I have those two downloaded... somewhere on my computer. I may get around to watching them sometime. They've been very highly praised.
Rory doesn't die enough to be the anit-Jack, but if he were to ever stay dead I would cry forever. No one killed Hitler, but Rory punched him, which was pretty awesome.
People do seem to really like Rory. There was a Rory vid at Vividcon and it was quite good and very sympathetic.
