*snickers* I am so not into Doctor/Jack so I was all set to skip this but then I noticed that it was in that crack-verse and I couldn't resist.

And despite not being into Doctor/Jack (or Rose/Jack, or Doctor/Rose/Jack :p), I liked the acknowledgement of how Jack loves them both. And it was still quite funny while being poignant as well. Nice job. :)

*snickers* I am so not into Doctor/Jack so I was all set to skip this but then I noticed that it was in that crack-verse and I couldn't resist.

This particular universe is so delightfully batty to think about. Oh, Doctor.

I planned to just skim this because I normally don't seek out Jack/Doctor stories, but when I remembered which universe this was, I couldn't help myself. So cracky, but sweet, too. And I love the Doctor's relationship with Lizzie. (Would that be paternal or maternal now? LOL.)

I planned to just skim this because I normally don't seek out Jack/Doctor stories, but when I remembered which universe this was, I couldn't help myself.

I don't read much Doctor/Jack myself (most authors don't seem to respect the relationship that Rose has with both of the guys, so the fic doesn't ring true to me), so it's kinda odd to be (sorta) writing it!

And I love the Doctor's relationship with Lizzie. (Would that be paternal or maternal now? LOL.)

I'm fond of it, too. She just came completely naturally out of the situation in "Red Orchid" -- I didn't try to come up with a companion for the Doctor to have, I just let whoever felt right come up out of the page.
