Briefly:
I rented the first two seasons of Homicide: Life on the Streets from netflix, but knew by the end of the first episode that it wasn't a show that was meant for me. I liked some of the characters, and I did think that the Bayliss and Pembleton interaction was interesting, but the format, editing, and even the way they filmed the show itself ( Read more... )

If I had a way to persuade the people who vote for Academy Awards or any sort of awards to movies this would be the #1 Winning Awards Movie of the Year! I normally do not like the movies that win the awards. So, there is a good chance this one would not win anything.. It really is a shame! It is the best movie that I have seen this year. And I see lots of movies!

As an aside -- you've got a Yuna icon, too! Very cool.

I really did like The Island a lot. It was tons of fun and it also brought up interesting moral questions regarding not only the ethics of cloning and about what makes a person human, but also how about how courage and desperation and what people will do just to live.

I totally agree on everything that you posted about..
I like movies tha make one think.
