Loved this. Turning the entire room into a shrine and keeping that one memory imprinted there feels perfectly right as something he would have done in his obsession and grief. And that particular memory was the last time they were both happy and full of hope, before the nightmares started.

Also: I like that Luke's mixture of wanting to find out and shying away from it at the same time. And now I'm intrigued why Obi-Wan arrives separately from Anakin after Anakin found him unconscious in the previous installment...

Thank you.

Yeah, Anakin has some slight issues with letting go. And they were so happy that night, teasing each other and just being fairly adorable together. They felt like a married couple in that scene, dorky dialogue included.

I like that Luke's mixture of wanting to find out and shying away from it at the same time.

Well, he knows that a lot of what he'll find out isn't likely to be pretty. It's not all smiling force-ghosts.

And now I'm intrigued why Obi-Wan arrives separately from Anakin after Anakin found him unconscious in the previous installment...

Curious, isn't it?

It's definitely a lot of fun. Shiny and new (despite being twenty-something years old...)!

I just started reading this series, and I'm really excited to get on to the next parts, but I wanted to say how much I'm enjoying it already. Luke going to find Anakin's rooms and it being Padme's just wow. It makes so much sense and is just so dang sad. Nice job!

Thank you!

Yeah, I asked myself, "Self, would Anakin be that obsessive?" And realized that the answer was so very much "yes".

Very glad to have you reading this. Thank you.

Poignant, very evocative, so terribly sad. I was moved to tears by this chapter. It was helped along by listening to "Anakin's Dark Deeds", but the writing was key. That Luke could sense, hear a little, see a moment of his mother, and yet not know that whom he was sensing was tragic.

And then the stunning cliffhanger!

That Luke and Leia know so little about their mother is something that always makes me sad. Especially since there is so much of her in them.

And then the stunning cliffhanger!

Thank you! I'm glad it works for you.
