I feel very strongly about that too! That's why I made the poll...I suppose. They had cornbread at lunch today in Commons, and I was excited, but it was the peppery kind, which isn't bad, really--but the point of cornbread is that it tastes like cake, but it has the word "bread" in it so it clearly is good for you. And it didn't seem like anyone else was excited about the peppers either...and I decided to use the scientific method.
As for Manhattan, I've only had it once, and it was just lacking. Besides, can you picture it in a bread bowl? No. And chowder without a bread bowl is good, but not exactly transplendent.

And for the record, when I say my cheddar and jalapeño cornbread, technically I mean the Barefoot Contessa's cheddar and jalapeño cornbread. . . . :-)

Um... I feel very strongly about my answers (normal cornbread and New England clam chowder).
