I bought Let It Be by The Replacements nigh on five years ago.

Today, I finally bought another album by them. I'm not sure what took me so long, as Let It Be has long since been my official favorite album.

I'd count introduction through friends, hearing a song on the radio or cultural osmosis as normal ways to find music, while reading about it in books or plays/listening to it to impress a girl unorthodox ways. Though maybe it's just me. I just was interested in how people were exposed to music.

And that's Bailey! Or Hugh Laurie, depending on if you mean the person or the userpic. She's a sweetheart.

Not that I can remember right now, anyway. I've never heard of the Replacements though, and now I'm curious. I can see you writing for a music magazine, based solely on this post and also your general music knowledge. Seriously, half the time you write about music I swear it's better than stuff I read in Paste magazine or that pretentious Pitchfork site.

As a side note, talking about a girl crush introducing you to the Smiths is SOOOOO PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER!!!!! Not sure if you were aware of that in the moment of writing it. In any case, yeah, good book and good band.
