UK 2008
So I got to go Home for three weeks. *happy sigh*
I fly back to California on Tuesday. *melancholy sigh*
To focus on the good:
-- I've been to Ireland for the first time. (Now I just have to see Scotland, and I'll have set foot in every region of the Isles.)

I'm glad you've had a fabulous holiday Home. I'm sorry I wasn't able to join you, but my thoughts were definitely there with you!
Mum pointed out to me that Saturday before my birthday that I'd not given her any ideas for birthday & christmas gifts. I thought about it for a little bit, and said that I had been thinking about replacing the telly in my room (which my aunt bought for me when I went to uni the first time - in 1998!) but couldn't really think of anything besides that, and started to walk away.
I stopped, turned around, and said, "Well actually what I really want is to go back to England."
I'm getting the telly.

All (limited) funds I've had were due to the kindness of my friends, and I've had to guard them jealously. So you're not getting much, but I HAD to get you a couple things - and I got myself the same things. ;-)

Next trick - getting my dad to run wires to my room so I'm connected to the house antenna/satellite dish so that I can actually watch something besides tapes & dvds!
