It funny you should ask, from what I hear (and this place is nothing but grapevine) McCrazy asked what qualifications Eileen had that she didn't have...but McC also never applied for the position.
For those keeping score here are the differences in qualifications
Interesting. I worked with someone like that once; she somehow assumed that when her boss got a promotion that she would go with him, when such a thing was never even considered as there was no position for her. It took more than one come to Jesus talk with the boss and with HR to convince her that it wasn't going to happen. She stayed pissed for months until she finally quit.
McC told someone that if my friend got the job, she'd quit...that'd be great, but I'm doubtful.
Last spring McCrazy swore she'd never work with one of our instructors again; quote "I hate him! I'll never work with him again!"... guess who she's try to schedule to come teach a workshop with us this spring...

For those keeping score here are the differences in qualifications
Eileen: smart, energetic, experienced, well-connected
McCrazy: smart, self-centered, spazzy under pressure, considered crazy by anyone who has worked with her
McC also knows that Eileen and I go way back (she's actually in my wedding party) - that's not making her any happier...
If it weren't kinda sad to see McC unravel, I'd be gloating a whole lot more.
