Three strikes, you're out, so Cassie has a lot to make up for.
She'd put Cissie off at least three times and it wasn't at all fair. Now that the tables were turned and it was clear Cissie was holding things back from Cassie the unfairness was blatantly obvious to her. Which only made her feel worse, but equally determined to fix it. She hadn't meant to let things between them get so tense and the truth was...Cassie needed to talk to a friend as much as she needed Cissie to know how important she was. To really talk. Cassie was close to drowning, she knew it. She needed to trust someone and then maybe Cissie would trust her again, too. She hoped.
Cassie made her way to the Frenzied Spork. It would be opening in less than a week, Cassie was again amazed at how quickly everything always seemed to happen. She squared her shoulders and promised herself for the fiftieth time she would talk, she would listen and she would fix this mess.
