I haven't once thought of assigning fault to anyone since the beginning of my involvement in this. Am I supposed to blame you for wanting revenge? No. Because you're human, and you witnessed something that you felt necessitated retaliation, and not all crimes can go unpunished. Am I supposed to blame you for "dragging me into this"? You might have approached me with the idea of making me your mercenary, but in the end it was you who backed out and I who insisted.

Honesty's nice, always, and I tend to prefer nothing less. But I'd also like you to believe me, even just a little, when I tell you that it'd be wrong and unfair of you to shoulder whatever blame there is to be had on your own; that you deserve more good in life than you think you do; and that I don't actually intend to die at the hands of someone like him in a place like this.
