Yeah I do it for several reasons. I like quilting but don't want to be one of those pathetic individuals whose house is bombarded with crafts like said individual doesn't have a life. Very sad. Much better to turn my craft to a giving thing. I can take a digital photo of my craft and be at peace with all that good karma. Plus it's a tribute to all the energy and strength and will needed to be a mother - you kinda have to be in that club to realise how huge that is and it is to acknowledge that for the mum by giving her a handmade gift that pisses off anything you can buy in specialness. Plus babies are just so beautiful and miraculous so of course its for them too. Its sharing to joy that having babies has given me.
All of these babies are lucky because they are so wanted and yearned for. I am thankful that traditional constraints have not gotten in

My daughter still wraps herself in her baby quilt that one of my co-workers made for her 15 years ago - it is not a tiny quilt, and it is definitely made of robust material to have lasted all this time. Not a hole or a threadbare patch anywhere.

Babies. I love them. How lovely of you to be doing all the quilts :) Lucky little things! My daughter still wraps herself in her baby quilt that one of my co-workers made for her 15 years ago - it is not a tiny quilt, and it is definitely made of robust material to have lasted all this time. Not a hole or a threadbare patch anywhere.
