What is it about England goalkeepers? Somehow, no matter who plays for England on that position they always cock up. At least German goakeepers wait until their team has reached the WC final ('86, '02). As much as I like reading the papers this morning, it pains me to think of a Euro champoinship w/out England. It's so much more fun beating England

Jimmy Greaves seems awfully quiet now Scotland have a half-decent keeper and England's top three couldn't catch a cold between them. Robinson dropped for his incessant fumbles to be replaced by Carson, who lets a first-half goal* through his legs; most would have opted for James, whose most memorable quote was 'it's not very nice when you go to the supermarket and you can see the cashier is thinking "dodgy keeper"'.

Yes, Carson somehow got into the date wrong. Thanksgiving is today. Also, he got the idea wrong, you're not supposed to give gifts although, coming to think of it, he was quite a turkey last night.
