This perfectly suits the picture above.

In any case, it sounds like Blair is tired of the way things are between her and Nate. Even though, she'd want things between them to change--she knows deep-down, it never will.

Great to read.

Thank you so much. I agree with your feelings about Blair, it takes a certain type of person to put up with what Nate did and move on. I think it was mainly motivated by her insecurities and fear of being alone that motivated her most.

Nate Archibald, however, is the type of man who falls asleep before there is any sex to be had.

Except with the one he really wants. Cougar doesn't count. She was, like, a replacement because he was dating Serena but not really. So yes.

That said, this was... sad. It sounds here like she's making a choice and though it doesn't make her happy, she's ready to let things go at the first sign. Deep stuff, hon, deep stuff.

Except with the one he really wants --> that's exactly the sentiment I wanted you to get. Because he doesn't want Blair and she knows it :/

Her face in this cap is really loaded, you can see her struggling between wanting to give up and wanting to fight for their relationship at the same time. Glad that sentiment came through for you :)

WOw, this was an amazing take on the scene. I love it. Especially when he does give her the ultimatium. There is just that..he doesn't say sorry. Honestly, he's waiting for her to end it, and if she does, he's finally free. But Blair just can't do that. She won't break up with him, so he doesn't need to try.

I really love that you wrote that so well!

You know, I never read the books and as a result really hated Nate at first based solely on his actions in these first couple of episodes. You can tell he doesn't want to be with her, but is just so passive he can't break up with her himself (also the fact that Serena denies him doesn't help matters). I really hate when guys string girls along just because they're non-confrontational or whatever, and that's the impression I got of him.

I'm glad you liked my interpretation!

He's VERY non-confrontational. Poor thing. With his father and grandfather and mother...he just does as he's told. He was raised not to speak out against them. And Blair's kinda like them. (and S "didn't" come back for him. And he still needs normalcy."

Loved it, very sad. The fire within grows hotter as the skin grows colder! She thinks there's no one there who notices. Amazing!
