I just love this little universe you've got going! Your Peter and Edmund are just so in character, it's clear that you've put some serious thought into how they would react to this kind of situation. Though I do feel a bit sorry for their COs. But, man, I can't even articulate how much I love this! Amazing!
Their COs just aren't prepared for kids who're essentially experienced generals in teenage bodies. They don't teach you how to handle that kind of thing in officer training.
Edmund's probably more experienced than his CO in that aspect. I can totally understand him humoring his superiors. Probably because he could totally take over and do a better job than them anyway. He helped run an *empire* as Peter's right-hand man (Is that canon btw? I seem to be mixing them up).
nixwilliams linked me to your fic of a few days ago, and i just read a whole bunch in quick succession. they're all AWESOME, but i think i like this one the best of all. oh, Edmund. *g*
You know, that comment about Edmund thinking first before he does something isn't exactly reassuring, if you look at it...it just means that when he does do something, it's going to be well-planned, not necessarily nice. ;D
I love his nonchalance. "I have an appointment, people, let's hurry this along, yes? Good lads." lol
