you should practice cherny studies to strengthen your fingers enough so you don't bash when you play the piano, helps with bass guitar as well, with bass you should practice c scales and memorise the pattern so you can play them in any key when you get good enough at this then i'd attempt playing a piece, although i wouldn't say i really like them, i've played through the whole red hot chilli peppers bass collection and you really improve by playing alot of their work, for piano stick to basic classical stuff (if you can read music, if you can't i'd do that fiorst out of everything) and then if you can't do classical stuff just try and learn about chords and fumble through things off the net, J
