So, I came home early to check on Mezzo, (I dunno what else to call him/her yet. :P) since my day is going to be short and I'm letting the windows at the next job warm up so my water doesn't freeze on them

Maybe you should get a safe little band for his leg so when he is ready to go, you can recognize him later. Of course, if you take care of him for a while, you probably would do that anyway, but a band would make it all nature documentary and stuff. ^_^
