I was pretty confused by it first as well, since the place I came from didn't have technology nearly so amazing as this! But it's pretty much like a mix of a journal and writing letters to friends. You can use this device to keep in touch with other people here in Paixao as well as record your own experiences, either through text by using the lettered buttons or making use of the voice option...like you're doing now! It's all done by something called electricity, which is a flameless sort of energy.

...hmm, I don't think I'm explaining this very well. I'm sure my father could do this so much better!
