i love to make a fool of myself in front of all of my
friends and then turn my shoulder so they can't
see my face or the expression i always try to
hold from my eyes and keep buried until
i get home when i can show myself in
the mirror how i look, distorted
and skewed and not at all
like what everybody
else thinks

This got the world spinning so fast
that the dark brown earth flung up
in the sky, and the birds finally got
to look the worms in the eye.
The meals that they ate so that
they could fly, now they're both
face to face and they're both so
alive.

i feel like i have a silver platter
that i refuse to eat from
and i feel like the worst
person in the world
sometimes

i don't know how well i did on my math test but i don't feel like i did as good as i wanted to and it's really really really bothering me

with the window
curtains drawn,
we hold hands
and fold them together
into small origami
birds that take
flight together into the
night together and
into the leaky
sky, that, to

is just a bath
but us here on earth
call it rain

i wanted to grow my hair out but i cut it yesterday
i wanted to grow a beard but i shaved it yesterday
i want to gain some weight
im at the telescope but its a goddamn waste of time because its raining
and i need to be doing work
and when i woke up this morning, i woke up early
but somehow i was still late to class
