Elizabeth is right behind him, enjoy8ing the temporary break from the stress that has been thier lives as of late. Sure, it's not total relief but it's something and she'll take it. Lunch was good, she ad some time before she needed to go back to work and tonight, when they went to go see Neal, everything would be okay.
But then Peter stops and she nearly crashes into him "Peter wh--Neal."
She peers at him from around her husband and just stares. "What are you doing here."
He stretches, yawning and pulling himself upright. "Hey guys, thought I'd come and visit. How was lunch"
"We talked about this, Neal." Peter moves closer to the couch, his arms crossed, frowning. "You're supposed to stay at the hospital until they let you out. Why did you leave?"
"The door was open," he replies. "All I had to do was walk out. Nobody stopped me, nobody said anything, they let me leave." He smiles innocently in that 'See! See! I didn't break a rule!" way that he does.
"Did you bribe anyone," Elizabeth questions over his shoulder, her voice skeptical,"
"You said you'd stay," Peter reminds him. "Just because you could leave doesn't mean you should have." He pulls his phone out his pocket and turns away from Neal, dialing as he steps away.
