I really enjoyed this. The pacing is slow and leisurely, revealing the scne before the reader's eyes with every sentence. Characterization is spot-on, the moment is mesmerizing, and every word flows beautifully. You have a good eye for detail. The transitions between Yuu's thoughts and the plot was natural.

I turn my head, gaze outside at the passing trees and plantations and the occasional car or two, wishing I could condense this content I feel - pure undiluted happiness, no stress, just love - into a love potion I can drink when our love exists no longer. This line is gorgeous. So poetic and thought-provoking.

I was surprised when I saw the prompt under the cut. It doesn't seem to fit the imagery you wrote at all. Sweet prompt, yes, but not what I expected. You provided lots of context in that case. I'm impressed.
