Once in a Blue Moon...

Tonight is a blue moon.

Is it blue? Nope. It's the second full moon in a single calendar month. Our planet has ducked clear of the path between Sun and Moon twice this December.

They happen about once every 20 years on NYE.

It's also a partial lunar eclipse. It's gonna be moon-tastic tonight!

It's so, so cloudy right now and I'm so afraid we won't get to see any of it.

I took some pictures of last night's moon and posted them - felt silly at the time, but now I'm really glad I did.

Did a very energetic and joyous full moon ritual, to bask in all of that beautiful energy. In addition to being blue and partially eclipsed, the moon is particularly close to the earth right now, causing the tides to rise higher than they would normally.
